OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
Objectives
Through consulting and co-operating in implementing sustainable development projects in various sectors, CISDOMA’s activities are aiming at:
- Increasing income, improving the quality of life of poor and disadvantaged groups.
- Strengthening capacity of local organizations in planning of implementing programs on poverty reduction, especially in rural and mountainous, far and remote, ethnic minority areas of Vietnam.
Scope of activities:
To research and consult issues on socio-economic development of rural and mountainous areas in Vietnam and Southeast-Asia.
To consult strategy, policy, institution and law of the state in sustainable socio-economic development of rural and mountainous areas.
To implement the activities:
- Providing technical assistance, constructing feasibility study (F/S), conducting and implementing, monitoring and evaluating projects.
- Consulting, constructing, master plans on socio-economic development of rural and mountainous areas.
- Carrying out poverty reduction and sustainable development projects of rural and mountainous areas, especially in far and remote, ethnic minority areas of Vietnam.
- Cooperating implementation of projects on:
+ Gender, community development, dissemination and mobilization on health care, HIV/AIDS prevention.
+ Children issues.
+ Bio-agriculture in socio-economic life.
+ Planning and rural development.
+ Planning and natural forest resource development.
+ Community forestry.
+ Prospecting and exploiting water resource.
+ Clean water and environment hygiene.
+ New and renewable energy.
+ Traditional handicraft development.
+ Educating, training and developing human resources.
+ Vocational training for the poor youth and disabled
+ Sociological and ethnological survey
+ Indigenous cultural heritage conservation
+ National and international science workshops on relating issues
